When I signed up, with DISH, (in Aug. of 2018) for a particular price, and for particular programming, I was promised a $100.00 gift card.

Since I signed up, I've called them many times for many reasons and I always brought up the subject of the gift card. But it was never resolved. So, after Christmas I decided to "get real" about this card and I called them, again for a different reason, but again, brought up the card. I was given a phone number to call, again.

I tried many times, no one answered. Some times, the phone didn't even ring! So, I tried again today. I was told the offer had expired, but maybe try the "TV Rebate" people who handle this offer.

I did that. They told me this offer had expired! They told me to call DISH and ask for a supervisor and maybe they would extend the offer. SO, I did that!

A "supervisor" actually answered my call! She said this was the first time I had called about this. I said I've called many times and I always bring it up, they have me call someone else, then they have me call someone else, etc. This time the "supervisor" (who just happened to answer my call??) told me it was too late since the offer had expired.

I told her I had TRIED many times to get this resolved and she had no record of my calls. Someone there didn't write down that I was calling about the card, so therefore I hadn't made the call. I'm an cranky, old lady, and I said I might just cancel DISH then. She said if I do, there is a "cancellation fee" since I'm under contract.

Yeh, the one they're not adhering to. THAT ONE! I said I wouldn't pay it. And that's where it ended.

I've got a lot of problems with DISH, and this is a *** reason to cancel. But, I'm mad! That was a promise made to me, and I expect them to fulfill that promise, just like I pay their bill every month, that keeps going UP, by the way, even though I'm "under contract"! SO, I guess they're ok with losing $100 a month/bill just so they won't have to pay $100 one time!

This is NUTS! But, I'm old, and I might just do it! Pretty silly of me, right.

I'll think it over, but I don't like doing business with people who lie to me. After all, what's next?

In that same contract... you gave them permission to automatically withdraw the money from your account after cancellation.
