Incorrect Billing

I disconnected my Dish receiver on Tuesday, June 29th - understanding that I would pay $4.46 initially, and then $5.06 monthly until service was restored - just to keep an open line between us, until service resumed - with that return date being in the air as I entered the hospital to receive treatment for leukemia.

The bill for $249.00 received at the end of October is completely off-the-wall, as I have not yet asked to pick up where we left off, and although I am now in remission, it will still be some time before I would be reconnecting my Dish service.

As my receiver remains in storage, how can you possibly bill me for nonexistent usage?

Please direct me to, or send along an address for return of the receiver. There are multiple ways for me to enjoy what television offers without availing myself of your ever climbing price increases, and again, a laughably ridiculous bill due in November for absolutely no service at all.

In all the years I have enjoyed Dish, this is where I need to draw the

line.

The pause is not indefinite. Sounds like you were put on a 3 month pause, and then per the terms starts back again at the everyday rate.

You forfeit any and all credits and promotions when going on pause, and the length of your term commitment is extended by the amount of time you're on pause. Returning the equipment would not make that bill no longer due, you would still owe it through the date of official disconnection.

Dissatisfied service

I live in the Atlanta area and you have our local NBC channels blocked. I understand its a contract issue with TEGNA, but had I known thus I would NEVER have left my streaming service. The majority of the shows I watch are NBC and CBS. Spectrum has a great offer to get me back. When will this blockage end? Totally unhappy about this turn of events. Violet Henson

First, they sent a 3rd part to install and I have paid several thousand for building my brand new house with all pre-wires for high speed Internet and satellite and TV. This guy comes in and couldnt used any of what I had and he charges $50 to do wireless.

2nd at night when I came home, tried to watch TV on my iPad (anywhere dish) I couldnt use it and when I called the customer service,, they said that I have upgrade to Hopper Sling for another $50. Here comes another 3rd party installer and charge again $49 for some stupid wiring ( every time my wife is home ) and she keep paying. After we upgrade to hopper sling, Im still not able to watch my TV from my iPad. It keeps getting disconnected and like old time buffering.

I have this dish network only 15 days, and I'm so tired. Every time you call regarding during day or night, the call goes to India. 4th, when I ordered this dish service, it was showing that has dish Anywhere and comes with 3 months the premium Chantal as well, but that was a lie as well. I ordered the $106 per month package and no 3 months free premium channels.

5th Dish network advertising about 24/7 customer service, but you call after like 10:00 no one can help you, and you must call back in the morning. I'm canceling this worthless satellite service. DO NOT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE.

FORGET THE DISH. It's A B.S

The cancellation fee will still apply. Be prepared for $480. Not being happy isn’t a valid reason to cancel without the fee.

Don't disconnect

Well, I had to call in for service... that is where the trouble started.

First, they wanted to mail me new equipment, but I also requested to move a converter from one room to another. So they charged me $50... ok I am good with that, but the first tech showed up and did not have the "right equipment". So had to reschedule for Sunday.

Well, Sunday came and went with no one from Dish even calling. Call 1-4 to get someone rescheduled for Monday. That technician arrived and did not have the right equipment. Said "I will be back in about an hour, I need to go get the equipment.

Four hours later and 3 more phone calls to dish, I get told that that technician no longer works for dish and I must reschedule my work for Wednesday, but they will escalate it as high as it can go with dish, and they will call me to try to get it moved up. No call. Wednesday comes and goes, no call. Thursday comes and a technician calls.

I ask to speak to his manager before I have another person on my property, I want to make sure they can do the work. I explain all this to the manager and request that they come with the technician, as obviously at this point someone needs some help to get this done. No more calls etc. for 3 days.

No one ever showed up. I call in again and again, finally get told the address is now listed as unserviceable, but they want to try to send someone out again. I say no, I am done, just disconnect the service. Three departments later, with all three promising me everything from half off my service for a year etc.

I still want to disconnect, so get transferred again. At this point I admit I was no longer nice. I told them, disconnect the service and made it clear. Next, the guy gets an attitude with me because I say that the service should be disconnected effective the date that I last had working service.

Says he will not credit it back!!!

Will only do as of today. Still waiting on boxes to ship their stuff back to them.

These contract disputes occur too often. I have been a Dish customer for years. But, lately every time I turn on my TV I have a channel that's out. Get these problems resolved. Dish needs to give all of its customer a refund. We are paying for something we aren't receiving.

Loss of rootsports norhtwest

Dish dumped rootsports northwest the day before mariners final 3 game series of season. Mariners haven't been in playoffs for 20 years, longest streak in all professional sports in US, We were tied for the final playoff spot when they pulled the plug. We also won't be able to see our new NHL team the Kraken as they are on the same network. After many calls to customer service, finally got $19.99 off this month's bill to pay for MLB streaming (which still won't work because Dish has it blocked for anyone in the Pacific Northwest.) I'll take the 20 bucks and see what other alternatives there are to Dish (after 9 years with them). Bottom line, call and raise *** until you get the accounting dept. they have the power to take money off your bill for the channels lost.

You left out that this is called for in the agreement, including no expectation to compensation. Also, Dish didn’t take the channel off. ATT removed their channel from Dish at the expiration of the contract.

I was told by several Dish CS reps that Dish could bundle TV and internet. That in my case was a lie and I should never have been told that. The internet company can bundle with Dish, but Dish can't. Very disappointed to have been deceived by Dish. Now it's too late and I'm stuck with an internet company bundling my Dish TV.

Channel 9 & 20

How about doing a Simple thing? Reinstate Channel 9 & 20 also we talked to one Person on Mon. 6 Dec. 2021, they "SAID" Dish will 'GIVE' me an over the Air Antenna, show you how to operate with it to Resolve the Channel 9/20 Problem. On one call, then we called again on Wed. Dec 8 Dec. 2021 and that Person says NO the Antenna will Cost you $30, and you have to install it yourself, how can you show us how to Learn to Operate with it if it's not installed ?? Maybe Everyone there should be working off of the same orders !!

The order is simple. It is what is in your agreement.

It says that you do not pay for any channel specifically and that you subscribe to a package subject to change and any changes (add, remove, delete, rearrange) have no impact on billing. You also do not get charged more when they add a channel to a package.

Next time in English. Now serious response, You’re actively begging for a large price increase. That’s why the channel is off, because Dish doesn’t want to raise your rates $10 per month for one channel.

#1 the account name is wrong. It was put in Anthony Davis name in error and for some reason dish wont change IT even though every single payment has come from my account.AND I HAVE REQUESTED THE CHANGE NUMEROUS TIMES #2 there have been several instances where all paid for channels are not available including abc and nbc. Other carriers don't seem to have this problem. i should receive some type of compensation for not receiving all the service i am paying for.

The account will remain in the name it qualified under. You’re receiving everything you agreed to let the service agreement.

Every provider goes through the same thing. Tegna removed their channels from Directv last year when their contract expired.

Dish Network charged my credit card without my permission for a large amount. I have called Dish, and I was told tough crap you owe us, and we took it. There was no credit card information in my Dish account because I had removed all of my payment information and ended services, which ended everything. So how in the heck did they get the information and use it without my permission? The last time I checked the law that it was illegal. The service is not worth the amount that you pay for services. BAD/POOR SERVICE and nasty customer service reps.

You removed your recurring payment method. You did not remove the hold that you placed on the card when you started service, or made changes. Nothing illegal, and the exact reason companies all do this, is because of customers such as yourself trying to game the system.

You’re receiving everything you’re paying for. Dish didn’t take the channel away. Only one that can do that legally is the channel owner.
