I disconnected my Dish receiver on Tuesday, June 29th - understanding that I would pay $4.46 initially, and then $5.06 monthly until service was restored - just to keep an open line between us, until service resumed - with that return date being in the air as I entered the hospital to receive treatment for leukemia.
The bill for $249.00 received at the end of October is completely off-the-wall, as I have not yet asked to pick up where we left off, and although I am now in remission, it will still be some time before I would be reconnecting my Dish service.
As my receiver remains in storage, how can you possibly bill me for nonexistent usage?
Please direct me to, or send along an address for return of the receiver. There are multiple ways for me to enjoy what television offers without availing myself of your ever climbing price increases, and again, a laughably ridiculous bill due in November for absolutely no service at all.
In all the years I have enjoyed Dish, this is where I need to draw the
line.

Installation,,, customer service,,, technical support and stupid Hopper Sling
First, they sent a 3rd part to install and I have paid several thousand for building my brand new house with all pre-wires for high speed Internet and satellite and TV. This guy comes in and couldnt used any of what I had and he charges $50 to do wireless.
2nd at night when I came home, tried to watch TV on my iPad (anywhere dish) I couldnt use it and when I called the customer service,, they said that I have upgrade to Hopper Sling for another $50. Here comes another 3rd party installer and charge again $49 for some stupid wiring ( every time my wife is home ) and she keep paying. After we upgrade to hopper sling, Im still not able to watch my TV from my iPad. It keeps getting disconnected and like old time buffering.
I have this dish network only 15 days, and I'm so tired. Every time you call regarding during day or night, the call goes to India. 4th, when I ordered this dish service, it was showing that has dish Anywhere and comes with 3 months the premium Chantal as well, but that was a lie as well. I ordered the $106 per month package and no 3 months free premium channels.
5th Dish network advertising about 24/7 customer service, but you call after like 10:00 no one can help you, and you must call back in the morning. I'm canceling this worthless satellite service. DO NOT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE.

Well, I had to call in for service... that is where the trouble started.
First, they wanted to mail me new equipment, but I also requested to move a converter from one room to another. So they charged me $50... ok I am good with that, but the first tech showed up and did not have the "right equipment". So had to reschedule for Sunday.
Well, Sunday came and went with no one from Dish even calling. Call 1-4 to get someone rescheduled for Monday. That technician arrived and did not have the right equipment. Said "I will be back in about an hour, I need to go get the equipment.
Four hours later and 3 more phone calls to dish, I get told that that technician no longer works for dish and I must reschedule my work for Wednesday, but they will escalate it as high as it can go with dish, and they will call me to try to get it moved up. No call. Wednesday comes and goes, no call. Thursday comes and a technician calls.
I ask to speak to his manager before I have another person on my property, I want to make sure they can do the work. I explain all this to the manager and request that they come with the technician, as obviously at this point someone needs some help to get this done. No more calls etc. for 3 days.
No one ever showed up. I call in again and again, finally get told the address is now listed as unserviceable, but they want to try to send someone out again. I say no, I am done, just disconnect the service. Three departments later, with all three promising me everything from half off my service for a year etc.
I still want to disconnect, so get transferred again. At this point I admit I was no longer nice. I told them, disconnect the service and made it clear. Next, the guy gets an attitude with me because I say that the service should be disconnected effective the date that I last had working service.
Says he will not credit it back!!!
Will only do as of today. Still waiting on boxes to ship their stuff back to them.
