While visiting an installer for upgrade I had them review my bill. I asked what a 2 dvr receiver charge was since I only had one receiver.

They said I shouldn't be getting charged that. I called customer service and was told it was for a 2nd dvr. I asked to speak with a supv. who then told me it was because I was not hooked up to a phone line.

They said they could remove the charge if I wanted!?

Well ya, like about 7 yrs and $420 ago. This is a classic case of "lets see how long we can get away with it." Dish, your "customer service" - isn't.
