ive had dish for many years in January I had the account transferred out of my name to my girlfriend to take over making the payments on her debit card she called the dish and spoke to the rep on jan 1st to get the account in her name amonth later they cut the service so she called them on feb 4th to try to resolve the issue and was told by a dish rep that she would have to transfer 27.88 immediately to keep the service going which she did at western union she waited but service still not restored so she called back again and was transferred to a supervisor who still could not correct the issue so at this point she cancelled the service altogether on February 10th I get abill for 70 dollars from dish even the the service is not supposed to be in my name at all so I guess ill have to speak to an attorney I do not know why this company is so incompetent with these salespeople they are a sad bunch

I was on the phone with a rep for more than a half hour cancelling my service The rep asked me inappropriate questions about why I wanted to cancel it was almost intimidation and bullying I will never,repeat never do business with this company again and I am reporting them to the Washington State attorney general

It's inappropriate to question why you want to cancel a service?


You can transfer the bill to another name, but ultimately whomevers SSN was used at sign up remains responsible for the life of the account. Thatd be you. Not much your attorney can do, other than charge you.
