I was going to sign up for DISH and switch from Comcast. The cost would have been around $80 per month.

My son was going to switch also. We basically had the deals done when the dealer came back asking for social security numbers and birth dates. That is basically illegal and nonetheless totally disgusting. No one should ever have to give strangers in a company like that such private information.

And for such a relatively small item.

We told them to drop dead and I hope many more do the same. DirectTV will ask for the same info but they will not press the issue if you refuse.
