We complained three times without resolution about poor resolution, cutting out completely and frequently, we then decided to cancel and return to previous provider. They insisted upon charging us a large early cancellation fee.

They also charged my partner on the day of installation $100.00 for a modem, and they refused to refund the money upon return. They keep harassing us to pay them when we have notified them 3-4 times we do not intend to pay their penalty for early cancellation. They made promises and didn't deliver.. They keep harassing us.

Many people I've talked to have had very similar circumstances of very poor service. We tried to negotiate with them at the beginning and they refused.

We paid our monthly service bill on time. we have receipts for verification.

Sounds like you had dishnet Internet and dish TV installed. The $99 fee likely would be for the router, and the modem is leased.

You return the modem, keep the router. It's not likely to have the ETFs waived, and if not pid, they Will just report to collections. That's a pretty large hit. It can be disputed in collections, but the fact remains that they have a paper copy of a signed contract, so if a grace period or quality is not covered in that commitment, and there are no records of the issues you explain, the collections is valid and your credit score going down is valid.

This can affect many things, from purchasing homes, cars, getting loans for emergencies, and even things like getting cell service. FYI.
