My wife and i switched to dish to save some money. What we got was a year of headaches, lost hours of work and a list of excuses from dish.
We live a mile from the airport and were concerned about signal. We were told we had great signal and there would be no issues. What a lie. From day one, our signal is lost EVERY TIME a plane flies overhead (every ten min or so usually).
They sent out a tech who agreed that the signal is being lost when planes fly by. We called dish and wanted to cancel but they insisted another tech come out. Another tech comes out and confirms that signal is strong... Until a plane flies by.
Called dish again and they refused to let us out of contact even though their service is inadequate. We dealt with this for a year and then get notice our bill will be doubled. We call and try again to cancel our awful service but we were told we have to pay an absurd fee. Once again we are told a tech needs to come out.
After 50 min on the phone we are angry enough to just pay the fee and be done with the awful service (tv and customer). My wife asks to charge a different card for the fee and is given another run around.
I will deter anyone from ever getting dish. Awful experience.
