Dish network put me in collections even though i paid them.The company did not receive the check for my final bill and did not try and contact me stating that they did not get paid.
the only letter I received from them was telling me that my account was past due in the amount of $1399 for last bill and non returned equipment. I called immediately to dispute and the tech stated that they had found the equipment but that they already put me in collections for the remainder of my balance of $130. I paid right then and there and now the collections agency is showing on my report as a charge off! I called Dish and they would not help!
they were non accommodating stating that there was nothing they would do since they believe that I did not send my final payment.
I have the carbon copy of the check from a few months back, but they said they would not use that!I need them to fix my credit.

Monetary Loss: $130.
Preferred solution: Remove the collections agency off of my credit report..
I liked: Channel lineup.
I didn't like: Way they treat customers on phone calls.
