We signed up for Dish Network in October 2015. We had no idea how long we were going to stay at this home and REPEATEDLY asked each and every customer service rep if it were possible to have a One (1) year contract.

They said yes. When the service tech installed their equipment, he then asked my wife to sign the Two (2) Year contract. She refused. We have cancelled their service after a year and are now getting charged their early termination fee of $20/Month.

Dish has no legally binding signed contract and yet we still get screwed. They [Dish] say the "X" the service tech put in for my wife's signature is adequate.

All in all, stay aware from this very disreputable company. No wonder they have lost a record amount of accounts in the past few quarters.

Preferred solution: Allow the service to discontinue after One (1) year as agreed upon by your customer service representatives..

I didn't like: Fraudulent customer service information.
