Dish Network - Hopper and joey issues
I've had the hopper and 2 joeys for 2 months now. Whenever we hook up the wireless router(cisco E3000)to the hopper, the joeys after about 5-15 minutes black out.
I can hit guide and see the guide but still no picture in the left hand box...have to turn off the joeys and turn back on but after another 5-15 min, same thing.......have had over 18 hours of techs in my house as well as a new hopper(now w/ sling) and new joeys. have also had new LMB,NODE,used a new router from DISH,hard wired the ethernet cable to the hopper,checked polarity on the outlets, checked coax cable,ran new coax cable,you name it and we've done it.........the system worked for 1 week during May 31 to June 7th but then a software upgrade happened and there it went again w/ the joeys blacking out...I am waiting for a fix for this...love the hopper's picture quality but hate that I cannot use the internet features.....the joeys stay on if the hopper is not hooked to the ethernet or wireless...

If Dish is telling you this is something they've never heard of in the past they are lying, I too have the exact same issue and I have had four different technicians over here spending approximately 2 to 3 hours each time changing all the cables and changing just about everything and they cannot get it to work properly! Very very frustrating and thinking about calling the news station
