I called Dish about a month ago to cancel my service because they lied about the channels I would be receiving when I lowered my service to "basic". It seems that when they changed my service, my received was only receiving listings of "My HD Channels" and not all the channels.

How was I to know that? I had been a customer for several years and when the prices went higher, periodically, I decided to cut back as I am a pensioner.

The agent I spoke with would not accept my cancellation, nor allow me to speak to her supervisor, saying, instead, "We don't have any supervisors here." "WHAT?," I said, every company has supervisors. She said, "OK, is there anything else that I can help you with?" I said, "Yes, disconnect my service or connect me with your supervisor." That apparently wasn't an option.

I was sent a survey in email regarding the call, and responded. Today I received another email saying that if I didn't pay me past-due account within 24 hours, my service would be suspended. I called and when through the same run-around. After five (5) requests, I was connected to a rude un-caring supervisor.

He explained that supervisors, too, get busy and can't always help the customers, who don't want to wait. That they have since cancelled my account and want my address where they can send me a return box. Now, I get another email stating that a fee has been charged to my account for the return equipment. I am a senior citizen, not a technician.

I don't know how to physically disconnect the boxes. This is very wrong.

Reason of review: Poor customer service.

Monetary Loss: $130.

Preferred solution: Price reduction.

Dish Network Cons: Being lied to and ripped off.

Yes, they are rude and don't know the meaning of customer service. if you mention you want to cancel they get very abrupt stop being helpful.
