Value for money

Contacted dish network a couple nights ago about a past due bill that belong to my niece. She’s on a fixed income and when she hooked up dish again to get back a refund of $440 for early termination, which was unauthorized.

She had been in abusive relationship and had to leave the state. All equipment was returned to dish, but that didn’t matter. Dish has no sympathy if you terminate early, no matter what. I think you could even die and they would still try to get the money out of you if it was an early termination.

Oh wait a minute they couldn’t get the money out of you, because you would be gone, but they would get it from your estate. I asked them if they could work out a plan where she could pay back her past due charges and then work on getting current. I was told they were running a business. However, I did talk to a supervisor after failing miserably with the representative and he said she could go in on March 23 and request an extension, which would cost another $10.

It’s not that she’s trying to get out of paying her bill. She just needs to have some time to be able to pay it, and make payments.

Other companies have done it in the past, why can’t dish? Dish is a big hole that keeps sucking money into it.

You could always put the account on pause and it would cost $5 a month so you can catch up bills

This is outlined very clearly in the contract mutually signed by an adult(your niece). She needs to take accountability for her actions(signing the contract).Oh, the payment was authorized.

It was authorized when she gave the card information and in the service agreement. You can review at their website under the legal tab.
