Getting the same thing with mine. Tried resetting hopper and Joey still same thing.

If I stop recording everything works then. I deleated shows on my dvr, didn’t help.

LOCAL PROGRAMMING

I live in Tucson, my Church is in Tucson, I shop in Tucson, my zip code is a Tucson zip code. I live in SaddleBrooke, a VERY LARGE senior community. We now have Xfinity and Orbitel - so listen up, we don't need you. WHY CAN'T I GET LOCAL TUCSON NEWS CHANNELS.....? Just because my zip code is in Pinal County I am refused local channels because of Nielsen! That is what I was told by multiple Dish employees! That is so wrong. I am going to change to another carrier, like Xfinity if you don't change that ruling. Not to mention that it is dangerous that we can't see what is going on locally. What about fires and other emergencies? Why should a big corporation tell a consumer what channels they can watch? I give you two weeks.

User's recommendation: Don't subscribe to Dish, they don't care what you want. It's all about them.

It’s not their choice. Nielsen draws the maps, and the FCC enforces them.

Cable and satellite have different rules, so comparing them would be meaningless. If you don’t like the rules currently, write your congressman and tell them.

Also, this is not a Dish monitored page and has nothing to do with Dish. They didn’t see this complaint.

Dish extended my contract without advising me getting a replacement for non functioning Hopper

Hopper quit functioning. Called to get a working Hopper to have service. Rep said Dish would mail a replacement. I advised no way I could change out equipment. I am seriously physically challenged because of arthritis, an 80 year old widow, most friends have died and live in rural area. Rep advised Dish would schedule a tech to come out. After Hopper was changed out, my Dish bill increased by $10.39 and contract was extended, but neither was authorized by me. I called and complained, but Dish has done nothing to correct the situation!

User's recommendation: Get local stations and one of many available streaming services or a different satellite provider!

Extension of my contract

Hopper quit functioning properly (6 months before contract expired) and I was unable to use most of the functions. Dish said they would mail a replacement Hopper to my home. I am quite seriously physically challenged because of arthritis and told the rep that there is no way I was able to exchange the units out myself. I am an 81 year old widow living in a rural area with no family and few friends still living, so no one to help. The rep said they could schedule a technician, but never mentioned that it would extend my contract for another year. I want free of DISH! Get an alternative!

Technical people don't fix problem , after months calling them and complaining about the volume can't be adjusted on my Hopper receiver box.

That makes sense as the Hopper has nothing to do with volume. That is a tv specific issue, and one you’d need to take up with your TV manufacturer. You’re upset that they cannot fix a component that they have nothing to do with.

They don’t claim to be the number satellite service, nor do they say they are Dish. That’s a third party retailer that does not work for Dish, Verizon, or any other provider.

They sell services and collect commissions from the companies whose services they sell. Just like a grocery store. Verizon and Dish have absolutely zero relationship to one another.

Basically, your confusion is in the word RETAILER. That’s means unrelated.

Dish is installing their Satellite on property owners by the neighbor without permission.

I come home and found a monster dish on my property at the evil neighbor's request without my permission. The property line is a wooden fence and chain link fence. There was no question that Dish techs knew they were installing the dish on another property. It's time for action to sue Dish for failing to get the owner's consent.

remove the dish from overhanging on my property

Tired of TV not working, rude rude ppl. Wont give credit when u are without a TV for weeks.

I been complaining that my TV not working and I thought it receiver. They so no its remote. Can't change channels, if watch DVD it freezes or fast forward and won't stop. 3 remotes and finally sending new receiver. Had installment app today but no receiver yet. Was told would send 2 day. It's not 8 days. I ask for credit. Rude and said no. I give you $5 credit for monthly receiver charge. I'm on an IV in bed 14 hr a day with no TV. I'm a senior and can't afford this crap

I am extremely dissatisfied with Dish Network.

Terrible customer service and failure to provide channels I was told would be available when I signed up for service. I only switched from DirecTV to save money, but their inferior channel lineup and excessive charges for sports channels has caused me to regret switching. To get this level of bad service, there are cheaper alternatives. I am stuck with Dish Network for two years, they would charge me $360 to terminate after 6 months, or 18 months early! terminate

You have a very bad understanding of the situation. To lease a receiver, will require a 24 month commitment.

If you purchase the equipment, there is no contract extension and you do not have to return the purchased equipment. It is important to note that you're not paying lease fees. You are paying active outlet fees, and they are the same whether leased or purchased, as the channel owners charge for each additional outlet. You contract covers channels clearly.

You agreed that no channel is guaranteed and that you expect no compensation.

You are owed no credit, and the contract is still being directly adhered to. The only one wanting to default on said contract is you, so far.

I got online for its email and such. It had me text 57575, and it went to Hallmark, so I checked it to make sure it wasn't my mistake! Its email address went to Hallmark, too, so naturally I double checked that, too! Hallmark was good about emailing....

You should really reread what was written. Stop talking about the other methods.

They don’t mean a thing. You can ONLY cancel on the phone. With the loyalty team. You cannot cancel with CS, tech support, etc.

If you had a bad experience calling, due to them not able to hear you, callback. Ask for the loyalty team.

They will go over the disclosures and cancel your account. Until you do that, you are responsible for all fees accrued.

I want a FULL refund, an apology, get its website CORRECT and PICK UP MY equipment. The girl, JM, didn't even give me an appointment of when the equipment would be picked up!!!!!!!

once your 2 year contract expires they will flat lie and try to say you renewed it.and the price keeps rising.i liked dish network services BUT their customer service is deplorable.they will place you on hold and just leave you.and if you cancel be sure to freeze the card they have on file as they will make up all kinds of crap and just charge your card.and you will never get your money back.I froze my card before I cancelled and sure enough the card company said they tried charging over $400 .never again.I was a good customer and always paid the entire 2 years but they didnt care.All I asked for was a price like new customers get and they rudly said no way.

Have you reset your switch? If you do not have a switch, unplug all Hopper's and Joey's from the power, leave them unplugged for a minute(they all have to be unplugged together to kill the electricity to the MOCA network.

Once you do that, plug the Hopper in first. If you have a HIC or any other components connected into the Moca network, they will also need to be disconnected from power.

Too hard to get ahold of them - don't enjoy waiting on phone 15 - 20 mins. waiting to speak to customer service- called several times like that n FINALLY talk to someone after waiting again forever - shame u call to discontinue services n that's when they want to give discounts to keep you - price is too expensive - issue finally resolved n got it disconnected
