I made the mistake of trying DISH at our new home. After a few months of having no TV on our upstairs TV without having to turn the downstairs one off, I quit DISH. They refused to acknowledge this and continued to charge me for 2 1/2 months after I started cable TV.
ERS wants to "waive" the disconnect fee but demands that I pay for the 2 1/2 months that's still on DISH's books. Their representative didn't care that I was not using the service any more, she just wanted money out of me.
They will probably try to go after me for the whole amount now because I didn't cave in and give them money that they (or DISH) do not deserve.
