You would think after all of these years and the Astros winning the World Series Dish would add the channel that the Astros play on.AT&T SportsNet Southwest is available on most pay television providers serving the Greater Houston area, including Comcast, AT&T U-verse and national satellite provider DirecTV, along with smaller providers such as Phonoscope Communications, Coastal Link, En-Touch and Consolidated Communications but yet Dish won't add it.Do they not want to keep customers in Texas and Louisiana?Houston is the most populous city in the state of Texas and the fourth-most populous city in the United States.Texas is the second largest state in the United States by both area and population.People in Houston and the rest of Texas love their sports. The Astros aslo have many fans in Louisiana.Let's not forget that the Rockets and Dynamo also play on .AT&T SportsNet Southwest Dish has all of the AT&T SportsNet channels in the US but not AT&T SportsNet Southwest why?How can they forget about us Houston Sports Fans?

Review about: Dish Network Tv Package.

Reason of review: Not as described.

Preferred solution: Just add the channel..

Populous does not mean anything if it doesn’t have a viewing base to support the cost. The channel wouldn’t be available in just Houston, and wouldn’t be able to be added to just a sports package.

This the same reason the channel has already gone bankrupt once, and was acquired from Comcast in the bankruptcy by ATT and DTV. Part of the deal was all 3 maintain the channel for their customers. Court ordered. That’s the difference.

That channel actually had the lowest viewership in the history of television recorded, with 0 viewers multiple times throughout the year.

It’s not carried on other providers outside the Houston area, which is what Dish serves, the entire country. You can throw those numbers out all day, however NY sports are a major thing, and Dish carries none of the NY sports channels and has not been impacted because of it. Your analysis is emotional and missing the rest of the information, making it incomplete and false.

Actually, it IS carried on other cable systems outside of Houston. Cox Communications, serving the midwest carries it.
